Job Description
As Product Manager, you will own the business key performance indicators (KPIs) for your game, managing monetization, player analytics, and content strategy to maximize player lifetime value (LTV). You will lead live operations and be responsible for developing and executing hypothesis tests, interpreting the results, and delivering insights to make actionable recommendations. You’re most at home when you’re modeling your game metrics and using data to further refine the player experience.
This role will collaborate with the game director and producer(s) on the product roadmap and develop processes to ensure key milestones and product goals are achieved.
Responsibilities:
Priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:
Own the daily and weekly KPIs that drive revenue and LTV for live titles
Analyze Live-Ops performance to develop and refine event, sales, and content strategies
Develop and deliver reports to leads and publisher executives with clear recommendations on improvements supported by data
Identify areas of opportunity for improving KPIs and help prioritize features to reach the product’s goals
Collaborate with the team leads to set experimentation plan(s) using hypothesis-driven approach
Execute variant testing and present test results/strategies to executives and partners
Analyze feature performance and results
Support product leads with defining the direction and strategy of the product
Tear down and analyze features in successful competitive titles
Requirements:
Deep knowledge of engagement and monetization design to drive business KPIs in free-to-play games
Direct experience owning KPIs in a high performing game that met or exceeded the genre benchmarks for retention and monetization
Thrive in cross-functional team environments and communicate effectively with all departments: art, design, programming, and production
Ability to think strategically, tactically, and creatively
Comfortable mining databases and extract key takeaways without the help of a dedicated analyst
Experience communicating and defending analytical insights to executive-level audiences to inform decision making
A self-starter: someone who is willing to step up and take charge to see their initiatives come to fruition
Skills/Qualifications:
Minimum of 2+ years Product Management experience on free-to-play (F2P) games
Experience with data analysis and analytical decision making
Understanding of feature design and game economies for free-to-play mobile titles
Experience with titles both in development and in live operations
Experience running hypothesis testing and with general testing methodologies
Experience designing and documenting features
Strong project management skills and a self-starter approach to delivering results
Pluses:
MBA or Engineering background
