Finance Officer

1. Establishes, develops and maintains accounting methods, policies, practices, systems and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial reports;
2. Ensures that accounting tasks are accomplished such as, but not limited to: month & year-end process reports, accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll, treasury & budgeting, cash forecasting, revenue and expenditure variance analysis, assets reconciliation, check preparation, fixed asset and debt activity;
3. Assists the accounting manager and collates documents and reports for year-end audit;
4. Summarizes current financial status; reconciles discrepancies, initiates corrective actions and duly suggests financial recommendations;
5. Creates, maintains, organizes and secures financial reports and other records by making an organized filing system to document transactions;
6. Works with other accounting staff to support organizational goals and objectives;
7. Performs other duties as assigned by Accounting Manager, Chief Finance Officer and/or Chief Executive Officer.
