Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION:
1. Create, organize, and maintain a database containing records of all finished projects, including intercompany projects.
2. Ensure each project has a dedicated file folder for organization and easy access.
3. Track financial performance against the Bill of Quantity and identify any risks and issues;
4. Submit Project Accounting reports for all completed projects every month
5. Monitor petty cash disbursement, issuance of local items, and imported appurtenances to ensure accuracy of cost, and correct project allocation
6. Full working knowledge of budget, contingency, and profitability of projects
7. Verify all details on the Project Monitoring Report submitted by the Engineering Department to ensure its accuracy
8. Review, and collate supporting documents related to each project, and ensure its timely invoicing
9. Investigate any delays in project invoicing, and coordinate with the account manager, and engineering department for its timely resolution. Inform management for any issues left unresolved
10. Transmit to management all SDDR, DR, SO, P.O., Signed Conforme, and any documents related to projects every Friday for proper filing
11. Ensure accuracy of Appurtenances, Lubricants, and Consumables Inventory report.
12. Conduct a random audit of Appurtenances, Lubricants, and Consumables Inventory every month
13. Submit Materials Issuance Report for Appurtenances, and Lubricants on every 5th day of the month.
14. Request landed cost for imported appurtenances each time there is a new importation
15. Transmit to management Appurtenance Receiving Report every time there is a new importation
16. Review and evaluate policies and procedures in inventory, and project accounting.
17. Provide any supplemental reports/documentation as may be required by management.
18. Ensures that all information of a confidential nature is held in a secure and confidential
19. Complies with prescribed policies and procedures of the Company, especially on safety and security.
20. Adheres to the provisions of the Company's Code of Conduct and Discipline.
21. Perform other tasks that may be assigned from time to time.

QUALIFICATIONS:
 Education:
o A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field is typically required. Some employers may prefer candidates with a master's degree or CPA (Certified Public Accountant) designation.
 Technical Skills:
o Familiarity with spreadsheet software (e.g., Excel) for data analysis and reporting.
o Knowledge of cost accounting principles and methodologies, such as standard costing, job costing, and activity-based costing.
o Understanding of inventory management principles, including inventory valuation methods (e.g., FIFO, LIFO, weighted average).
 Analytical Skills:
o Ability to analyze financial data and performance metrics to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings or process improvements.
o Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail to ensure accuracy in cost calculations and inventory records.
 Regulatory Knowledge:
o Familiarity with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements related to inventory valuation, financial reporting, and compliance.
 Communication Skills:
o Clear verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., operations, procurement) and present financial information to stakeholders.
 Problem-Solving Abilities:
o Capability to troubleshoot accounting discrepancies, resolve inventory issues, and recommend solutions to enhance efficiency and accuracy in cost and inventory processes.
 Experience:
o At least 2 years of experience in cost accounting, inventory control, or related financial roles.
