The Accountant will take a hands-on role as part of the Accounting Team with ownership of
a number of key accounting tasks; including balance sheet reconciliations, assisting with
audit preparation, and other accounting duties as assigned. This individual should be a self-
starter, have strong financial accounting skills and experience, be a problem solver, well
organized, and a driver of efficiency. They will play a key role in helping to scale the
Corporate Accounting functions and the implementation of new systems.

What you’ll be doing:
Responsible for performing monthly general ledger closing procedures including account analysis, reconciliations, and sub-ledger activities.
Responsible for a number of bank reconciliations, including coordinating across other functions to ensure resolutions of any reconciling items.
Support the external audit process.
Drive improvements in the monthly close process.
Participate in the ongoing development and establishment of accounting policies, procedures, and operational strategies, including reviewing and implementing process and system changes.
Seek improvement opportunities, provide suggestions, and establish effective and efficient policies, document procedures, and controls.
Prepare reports for various tax returns.
Provide ad-hoc research, reports, and analysis of expenses and balance sheet accounts.
Perform special tasks and projects related to functional responsibilities or other areas, as needed.

Qualifications and Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, or equivalent area.
Minimum three years’ experience in accounting, or related.
Strong working knowledge of US GAAP accounting, and industry best practices.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of other Microsoft Office programs.
Ability to train and provide support to junior staff.
Ability to work with little to no supervision.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Self-starter with outstanding analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Must be able to collaborate with team members in a fast-paced environment.
Highly motivated, hard-working team player with a thoughtful, humble, and positive attitude.
CPA license is not required, but a plus.
Experience in US Taxation preferred.
Experience with Netsuite, Sage Intacct, and SAP Concur is a plus.
