Accounting Supervisor

We're looking for an experienced Accounting Supervisor to oversee and ensure accurate revenue capture, prepare insightful reports and analysis, and maintain compliance through ongoing training and seminars.

Responsibilities:

Manage port and head office accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
Oversee the complete and accurate recording of revenue transactions.
Prepare and analyze financial reports to provide valuable insights for decision-making.
Lead month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure timely and accurate financial statements.
Implement and maintain internal controls related to revenue accounting.
Conduct bank reconciliations and review monthly revenue and expense reports.
Collaborate cross-functionally to optimize revenue recognition processes.
Provide leadership and guidance to the accounting team, fostering a collaborative work environment.
Develop effective communication channels with internal stakeholders.
Utilize analytical and problem-solving skills to address financial issues and improve processes.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or related field.

CPA certification preferred.
Minimum of five (5) years of progressive accounting experience, with at least two (2) years in a supervisory role.
Strong knowledge of revenue recognition principles, bank reconciliation, and trend analysis.
Experience in managing port operations and head office accounting.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) and accounting software.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
