Procurement / Quantity Surveyor

JOB PURPOSE (Job Summary)

-To source out potential suppliers, canvass, negotiate, procure and process product and/or service requests of SOS
departments from local and international suppliers and vendors. To secure appropriate and timely invoices and
receipts from the suppliers and vendors to ensure proper and prompt payment processing.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Source out potential suppliers (local and international)
• Canvass, negotiate, procure and process product and/or service requests
• Liaise with suppliers and departments regarding updates and details of goods
• Generate Purchase Order (PO) thru internal system (SAP) and tally these with supply requests and orders
• Check and process invoices and receipts
• Monitor inventory to ensure the flow of goods remains positive
• Work closely with the departments to understand details of procurement requirements
• Conduct accreditation of suppliers to ensure compliance and readiness to the needs of the organization
• Perform ocular inspection, as needed, as part of the accreditation process and monitoring
• Understand, develop, manage and control all facets of contract information and negotiation
• Perform other tasks as maybe assigned from time to time by the immediate superior or by the management team

JOB HOLDER ENTRY REQUIREMENTS :

Education : Graduate of any 4 year course

Years of Experience
In General : At least two (2) years relevant working experience in supply chain

Other Skills :

• Working knowledge in SAP Accounting module
• Good communication skills (written & verbal)
• Good negotiation skills, keen to details, can work independently
• Above average knowledge in MS Office applications
