Production Supervisor

Job Description:

As a Production Supervisor in our furniture manufacturing facility, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and optimizing the production process to ensure the efficient and timely delivery of high-quality furniture products. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead a team of skilled craftsmen and contribute to the success and growth of our manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities:

Supervise Production Operations: Direct and coordinate the activities of production workers engaged in manufacturing furniture products. Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to quality standards, production schedules, and safety regulations.

Team Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to production team members, including training, coaching, and performance management. Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, productivity, and employee morale.

Production Planning and Scheduling: Collaborate with the Management, designer, consultant, and other teams to develop daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules based on customer orders, inventory levels, and resource availability. Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of orders.

Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures to ensure that furniture products meet established quality standards and specifications. Conduct inspections and audits of production processes, materials, and finished goods to identify and resolve quality issues.

Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, and productivity enhancement. Implement best practices and lean manufacturing principles to optimize production efficiency and reduce waste.

Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety regulations and promote a culture of safety awareness among production team members. Conduct regular safety inspections, identify hazards, and implement corrective actions as needed.

Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate production records, including production reports [new items, in progress, and finished products.] Generate performance metrics and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and evaluate production performance.

Requirements:

-Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or related field preferred.
-Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role in a manufacturing environment, preferably in furniture manufacturing.
-Strong knowledge of production processes, manufacturing techniques, and quality management principles.
-Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
-Ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and manufacturing software/systems.
-Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
-Understanding of health and safety regulations and practices in a manufacturing setting.
-Flexibility to work occasional evenings, weekends, or overtime as needed.
