Job Description
1. Help write and optimize in-application SQL statements
2. Ensure performance, security, and availability of databases
3. Prepare documentations and specifications
4. Handle common database procedures such as upgrade, backup, recovery, migration, etc.
5. Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders
Skills and Qualifications
1. 2-3 years of relevant experience
2. Strong proficiency with SQL and its variation among popular databases
3. Experience with some of the modern relational databases
4. Skilled at optimizing large, complicated SQL statements
5. Knowledge of best practices when dealing with relational databases
6. Capable of configuring popular database engines and orchestrating clusters as necessary
7. Capable of troubleshooting common SQL statement issues
