System Administrator

· Ensure compliance with IT security requirements and policies;

· Ensure reliable monitoring and alerting for systems infrastructure;

· Maintain and administer operating systems, server security and Microsoft services.

· Administer and support core Microsoft, Citrix and VMware technologies.

· Assist and sustainment of VMWare machines along with VMWare clustering.

· Identity management on platforms using Azure Active Directory and Active Directory Domain Service;

· Windows Server 2022/ 2019 / 2016 / 2012 R2 / 2008 R2

· Windows AD / LDAP / DNS / DHCP /NTP

· Develop and deploy Group Policy objects that optimize the org’s global security posture as well as enhance end user workflows;

· Design, deploy, and maintain a hybrid multi-forest Active Directory infrastructure using industry best practices;

· Monitor systems, availability, resource use (internal memory and disk space), performance, and security of systems and servers, and establish and monitor critical checkpoints and thresholds.

· Research and resolve performance, capacity, and other server-related issues.

· Resolve support tickets as they’re escalated from other teams;

· Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.

· Perform regular security monitoring to identify any possible intrusions.

· Install and configure software and hardware, upgrading Windows systems and servers.

· Design, install and configure internal and customer facing servers.

· Administer and support core Microsoft, Citrix and VMware technologies.

· Assist and sustainment of VMWare machines along with VMWare clustering.

· Assist in data backup, disaster recovery, and response to security breaches, service interruptions, and other critical situations.

· Develop and implement project plans, risk assessments and contingency plans.

· Design and implement monitoring, configuration management and reporting functions that will make a hands-off environment.

· Define and document best practices and support procedures.

· Provide after-hours support for Infrastructure related emergencies as well occasional weekend maintenance.

· Assist with hardware and software vendor evaluation, recommendation.

· Perform routine maintenance and scheduled backups of the server and related hardware and software.

· Mentor / cross train team members on existing and new technologies.

· Maintain inventory and asset configuration documentation.

· Oversee asset tracking, management, and removal/disposal of all decommissioned devices. Conduct an inventory assessment annually and as requested.
