Skincare Specialists/Facialists perform a variety of cosmetic treatments aimed at improving skin appearance and addressing skin concerns. They assess clients' skin conditions, recommend suitable skincare regimens, and perform treatments such as facials, exfoliations, and extractions. Skincare Specialists also educate clients on proper skin care and may sell skincare products.

Key Responsibilities

Client Consultation:

Conduct thorough skin analyses to determine clients' skincare needs.
Discuss clients' concerns, preferences, and medical history relevant to skin treatments.
Recommend appropriate skincare treatments and regimens based on the analysis.

Treatment Provision:

Perform various skin care treatments including facials, exfoliation, extractions, and masks.
Utilize specialized equipment and products to cleanse, exfoliate, and hydrate the skin.
Apply makeup and provide guidance on makeup application when required.
Conduct hair removal procedures such as waxing or threading if qualified.

Product Recommendation and Sales:

Advise clients on skincare products that suit their skin type and conditions.
Demonstrate product usage and benefits.
Sell skincare products and maintain sales records.

Sanitation and Safety:

Ensure all tools and equipment are sanitized and maintained according to health and safety regulations.
Maintain a clean and organized treatment area.
Follow proper procedures for handling and disposing of biohazard materials.

Customer Service:

Provide exceptional customer service and build lasting relationships with clients.
Address client concerns and ensure satisfaction with treatments.
Keep detailed client records, including treatment history and preferences.

Professional Development:

Stay updated with the latest skincare trends, techniques, and products.
Attend workshops, seminars, and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:

Education: Senior High school diploma or equivalent.
Certification from an accredited esthetics or cosmetology program.
Experience: Previous experience as a skincare specialist or facialist is preferred but not mandatory.

Excellent knowledge of skincare products and treatments.
