Engineering & Technical Development Head

-Responsible for leading and developing the TSG-ETD team, including directing, coordinating, and exercising authority for planning, organization, leadership, and completion of TSG-ETD projects.
-Takes appropriate action when team performance deviates from agreed KPIs.
-Reviews departmental goals and objectives for adequacy and consistency with corporate objectives
-Coordinates and directs projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing integration of technical activities
-Oversees project logistics and resource allocation
-Identifies, assesses, and manages risk to the success of projects
-Monitors progress against project schedules and budgets
-Follows up on permanent corrective action plans to resolve any outstanding issues related to quality, production, equipment, tooling, customers, and production controls.
-Analyzes technology, resources, and market demand to plan and assess the feasibility of projects
-Drives continuous improvement of processes, quality, and cost to maintain profitability and competitiveness
-Strives to improve efficiency and sustainability of processes and designs
-Plans and formulates engineering program and organizes project staff according to project requirements
-Monitors the external environment to gather intelligence on emerging technologies
-Responsible for assisting in interviewing, hiring, and training ETD staff
-Oversees the development and competence of ETD staff
-Promotes and enforces a safe and healthy work environment in accordance with applicable legislation and company policies and procedures
-Maintains a level of expertise in their field or sector
-Closely monitors the variable and fixed expenses of the department at all times.
-Performs quarterly budget performance review and creates budget proposal on an annual basis in coordination with the TSG Head.
-Prepares and submits complete and accurate weekly and monthly reports and ensures timely submission of the same.
-All reports should be with the knowledge and approval of the department/business unit head and/or designate.
-Responsible in defining and writing the business requirement specifications of processes for automation update/revision.
-Fully adheres to the company’s code of discipline.
-Other tasks that the TSG Head and/or President may assign from time to time

Qualifications:
-Preferably a graduate of Mechanical Engineering
-Licensed Mechanical Engineer is a plus
-Experienced with Equipment and Facility Repair
-Experienced in MHE, PHE and FL Repair
-At least 2-5 years of experience managing a team
-Familiarity with ISO 9001: 2015 is an asset
