Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated College Guidance Counselor to join our vibrant school community!

About the Role:
In this role, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our students as they navigate the exciting, yet challenging, college application process. You will provide individual and group guidance on academic planning, career exploration, college selection, financial aid, and scholarship opportunities. Your expertise will empower students to make informed decisions about their future and ensure a smooth transition to higher education.

Responsibilities:
1. Conduct individual counseling sessions to discuss academic progress, career goals, and college aspirations.
2. Develop and deliver engaging workshops and presentations on topics related to college readiness, such as standardized testing, application essays, and financial aid literacy.
3. Assist students with researching colleges and universities that align with their academic interests and financial needs.
4. Guide students through the college application process, including essay writing, recommendation letters, and application deadlines.
5. Maintain clear communication with parents and guardians regarding the college application process.
6. Collaborate with faculty and staff to identify and support students with diverse needs.
7. Stay up-to-date on the latest trends and changes in college admissions requirements and financial aid programs.
8. Maintain accurate and confidential student records.

Qualifications:
1. Master's degree in School Counseling or a related field.
2. Licensed in Guidance and Counseling
3. Strong understanding of the college admissions process, including standardized testing and financial aid.
4. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
5. Ability to build rapport with students from diverse backgrounds and experiences.
6. Commitment to student success and a passion for higher education.
