Job Description

Develop and implement health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures in line with local, state, and federal regulations.
Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards, assess risks, and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on safety procedures, emergency response protocols, and environmental conservation practices.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of safety programs and initiatives, making necessary adjustments to ensure continuous improvement.
Investigate and report accidents, incidents, and near misses, analyzing root causes and implementing preventive measures to minimize future occurrences.
Maintain and update Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and ensure compliance with hazard communication standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement ergonomic solutions, promote wellness initiatives, and mitigate occupational health risks.
Stay updated on relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations and industry best practices, and communicate changes and updates to the organization.
Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies, participating in inspections, audits, and permit applications.
Develop and maintain emergency response plans, including evacuation procedures, and coordinate drills and exercises to ensure preparedness.
