Materials Engineer

JOB QUALIFICATION:

A bachelor’s degree in materials engineering, civil engineering, or a closely related field.
At least 3-5 years of relevant experience in construction materials testing, quality control, and materials research.
Hands-on experience with civil works projects, including roads, bridges, buildings, and other infrastructure.
Proficiency in testing and evaluating construction materials such as concrete, asphalt, steel, and soils.
Experience in developing and implementing quality control procedures for construction materials.
Familiarity with local and international construction material standards, such as DPWH guidelines.
Licensed as a Professional Engineer (PE) in materials or civil engineering is a plus.
With Accreditation that certifies that he/she meets the standards and requirements set by the DPWH for professionals involved in public works projects.

JOB ROLE:

Materials Selection: Choosing appropriate materials for various construction projects.
Quality Assurance: Ensuring that materials meet all relevant standards and project specifications.
Field Testing: Conducting on-site materials testing and inspections.
Failure Analysis: Investigating material failures and proposing solutions.
Reporting: Preparing detailed reports on material quality and compliance for project stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
