Position: Tax Accountant

Location: Bagbaguin Sta. Maria Bulacan

Work Setup: Onsite

Schedule: Monday to Saturday (8am to 5pm)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Tax Accountant with expertise in cross-border transactions and tax treaty relief applications. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in taxation, customs, and tariff compliance, ensuring accurate computation of taxes, duties, and tariffs. The Tax Audit Manager will be responsible for various tasks including reconciliation of financial statements and tax records, preparation of audit requirements, and coordination with regulatory bodies. Additionally, the role involves providing tax advisory services, drafting tax-related documents, and ensuring compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct regular reconciliation of balances between financial statements and tax records.
Prepare all necessary documentation and schedules required for audits.
Reconcile findings from audits conducted by the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) and Local Government Units (LGU).
Analyze the validity of issues raised by auditors and coordinate with relevant departments for resolution.
Research legal basis to rebut BIR claims and draft protest letters as necessary.
Coordinate and negotiate with BIR examiners on behalf of the company.
Identify transactions involving non-residents and assess tax implications.
Draft Tax Treaty Relief applications to optimize withholding tax rates.
Provide business tax advisory and consultancy services, addressing internal inquiries.
Review contracts for tax implications and collaborate with Legal and Finance departments.
Work closely with external auditors to resolve tax-related issues during statutory audits.
Review tax-related figures and disclosures in Financial Statements.
Draft tax memoranda and policies to ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
Respond to various BIR correspondences and explain any fluctuations in tax collections.
Stay updated on global taxation trends, particularly regarding Double Taxation Agreements.
Obtain Tax Clearance and Tax Residency Certificates from the BIR for bidding and regulatory purposes.
Facilitate the processing of Certificate Authorizing Registration (CAR).
Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA license preferred.
Extensive experience in taxation, with a focus on cross-border transactions and tax treaty relief applications.
Strong knowledge of customs and tariff compliance, including exempt and zero-rated transactions.
Proven ability to reconcile financial statements and tax records accurately.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
Effective communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to coordinate across departments.
Familiarity with legal frameworks related to taxation and international business.
Proficiency in drafting tax-related documents and correspondence.
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
