Cloud Engineer - Terraform

Qualifications
This role requires expertise in architecting and managing complex cloud environments using Terraform as the primary infrastructure-as-code tool.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
2. Minimum of 8 years of experience as a Cloud Engineer or similar role, with expertise in AWS and Terraform.
3. Strong understanding of AWS services, including EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, and CloudWatch.
4. Proven track record of designing and implementing infrastructure-as-code solutions using Terraform.
5. Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation and orchestration.
6. Hands-on experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.
7. Solid understanding of networking concepts and protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, and routing.
8. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
9. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
10. Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professonal, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional, or HashiCorp Certified - Terraform Associate are preferred.

Job Description:
1. Lead the design, implementation, and management of AWS cloud infrastructure using Terraform.
2. Architect highly scalable, reliable, and cost-effective cloud solutions to meet business requirements.
3. Develop and maintain Terraform modules, templates, and scripts for provisioning and configuring cloud resources.
4. Implement infrastructure-as-code best practices to automate deployment, scaling, and monitoring of cloud services.
5. Collaborate with development teams to design and implement cloud-native applications and microservices architectures.
6. Ensure security and compliance of cloud infrastructure by implementing IAM policies, security groups, and encryption.
7. Optimize cloud infrastructure performance, availability, and cost efficiency through monitoring and tuning.
8. Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to cloud infrastructure, networking, and application deployment.
9. Stay up-to-date with AWS services, Terraform releases, and industry best practices, and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
10. Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance and support to other team members.
