Job Description
Will carry out the Laytime/Demurrage calculations done based on the terms from the Charterparty, Recap, Contracts, Statement of Facts, and other supporting documentation for the relevant port call. The role requires you to have a good understanding of Charterparties, key laytime/demurrage terms, provisions and contracts related to the voyage. Knowledge and understanding of terminology used in the petroleum industry, dry commodities businesses, marine and terminal operations is also a requirement.
A minimum of 4 years work experience from a shipping company, of which at least 2 years’ experience working in the post fixture team and with laytime claims
Ideally, you have managed laytime claims for a vessel owner
A graduate with minimum 5-years’ experience in a similar role (Dry Bulk sector)
Exposure to contract interpretation, key laytime/demurrage terms
Experience with Charter Party Agreements
Degree in shipping / MICS will be an added advantage
Experience from remote working or collaborating virtually
Great if you have experienced working remotely for at least 12 months and are comfortable with being a remote contributor
