Company Description:
Started in 1976 with humble beginnings as a sole proprietorship. It was, then, solely fabricating baking at a time when the pan de sal business craze was at its height. Initially located in a 20 sq. meter store space along Juan Luna St. in Binondo, Manila both office and fabrication personnel worked side-by-side in that confined space. With the growing market demands, Gomeco was incorporated in 1982 and transferred entirely to a bigger place in Caloocan City. A few years thereafter, it again relocated to a much bigger plant in Karuhatan, Valenzuela City. In 1992, Gomeco finally acquired the sprawling one-hectare compound in Rincon, Valenzuela City, where the present office headquarter and the fabrication plant facilities are situated. In 2001, Gomeco grabbed the leadership in the country's kitchen equipment industry up until the present. Likewise, it has been enjoying the lion's share in providing the architectural metal needs of the Philippine construction industry.

Job Description

Job Title:
Production Manager (PSF) Steel Fabrication. Reports
To: PSF Director Direct Report: CEO, VPO and AGM
Job Purpose
• To ensure the effective delivery of the factory production plan in line with all Safety, Quality, Cost, and Delivery and People standards.
• To support the man management of a non-automated steel fabrication division.
• To work closely with divisional GRP production managers to ensure maximum productivity and divisional support is at the forefront of strategic planning’s. Specific Responsibilities
• To interpret that production plan and prioritise production to effectively utilise resources to deliver the plan on time and in full.
• To communicate with all internal functions to ensure on time, in full delivery of the production schedule.
• To effectively and efficiently utilise all available labour and materials across the production function.
• To ensure product quality through effective quality management systems, procedures and standard operating processes.
• Control costs and expenditure of the department within agreed budgets and the changing needs of the business, statutory requirements and customer policy. • Ensure best practice in workplace organisation and carry out 5S audits across the departments.
• Promote best working practice in all production areas to achieve effectiveness, control and efficiency.
• Proactively manage health & safety and promote safe working practices to ensure the safety and well being of all staff and compliance with all statutory requirements.
• Ensure time recording is accurate and ensure the effective reporting of labour utilisation through appropriate systems such as ERP.
• Utilise data using from relevant systems such as ERP to identify improvements.
• Achieve all relevant KPI’s and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
• Ensure all employees are fully trained against all standard operating procedures and training records are up to date.
• Provide direction and support to the team leaders and facilitating staff performance and development reviews.
• Ensure effective recruitment, motivation of staff to maintain a culture of continual development and improvement.
• Lead communications to the team leaders through the effective use of formal and informal methods.
• Attend and contribute to Operations Team meetings.
• Ensure effective housekeeping through regular audits.
• To promote team working within the operations team and with all relevant departments.
• To manage the teams through all applicable company procedures. General Responsibilities
• To raise and resolve any internal queries with relevant departments.
• To maintain good housekeeping standards
• To continually strive to improve the departmental process.
• Provide other personnel with assistance on specialist knowledge/expertise.
• Comply with the Health & Safety requirements of the Company.
• To carry out other reasonable duties commensurate with your qualifications and/or experience as instructed by your Manager.
