Windows System Engineer

We're looking for an experienced Windows Systems engineer. This company runs a SaaS environment, partially in their own datacenter, and partially in Azure. It's based on Java (JVM on Windows) with SQL Server. The main infra team is in Western Europe, but they're looking to add an engineer to complete their follow-the sun team (Europe + Argentina + Philippines). You will occasionally be asked to work during the monthly patch weekend (on shift rotation) or to be on standby during the weekend (on shift rotation). Regular shift is the day shift Mon-Fri (starting around 6.30/7am PHT).

This is a long-term, full-time job for an experienced Windows Systems Engineer.

Must-have:
- Senior (5+ years) experience as a Windows Systems Engineer, including Hyper-V, PowerShell
- Experienced in managing a SQL Server environment
- Experienced in working under ITIL procedures (incident, change management)
- Near-fluent in English
- Values reliability, security, maintainability & performance
- Pragmatic and pro-active attitude, self-starter

Nice-to-have:
- Experience with Azure (cloud hosting)
- Experience working with Jira
- Experience with Linux (Ubuntu) and/or NGINX
- Experience with Java / JVM optimization and performance monitoring
