Roving Merchandiser

Job Description
- Monitor stocks availability
- Handles product shelf occupancy and visibility. Maintains store shelves by observing displays and removing damaged products.
- Regularly track inventory list
- Perform in-line inspections from time to time.
- Coordinates and monitors the actual status or particular order that needs to be delivered.
- Responsible for merchandising the products of the company.
- Send accurate and complete reports in a timely manner.
- Performs other related function that may be assigned by the immediate supervisor
- Compare merchandise invoices to items received to ensure that deliveries are correct
- Design and set up advertising signs and display merchandise on shelves, counters, or racks to attract and promote sales.
- Maintain and ensure standard stock level for each product
- Monitors closely the shelf life of all products and initiates withdrawal of nearly expired items.
- Recommends clearance strategies for expiring slow and non-moving items.
- Keep inventories at a level to minimize out-of-stock and overstock while ensuring the freshness of merchandise.
- Planning and developing merchandising strategies.
- Analyzing sales figures, market trends and customer behavior to determine product needs
- Determine the needs for and implement product promotion, price changes, mark downs, clear outs, etc.
- Ensuring retail staff are well informed on product details and promotions

Job Requirements
- High school diploma
- With relevant experience as a roving merchandiser
- Strong organizational and decision-making skills.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Commercial awareness.
- Highly creative, with experience in identifying target audiences and devising campaigns
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Strong listening, presentation and decision-making skills
- Commercial acumen and the ability to “decode” customers
