Samgyupsalamat is a Korean Unlimited BBQ Restaurant that is owned by YHK F&B Incorporation. The restaurant has now 7 branches, and 5 branches under renovation that is bound to open this year, and on top of that, more than 10 branches are reserved for 2018 in Metro Manila. Samgyupsalamat was coined from the word “Samgyupsal” which is “Pork belly” in Korea, and “Salamat”, which means “Thank you” in the Filipino. Combining the two, it makes “Samgyupsalamat”. It is kind of a language play but to add a meaning on it, it means, “Thank you for eating Samgyupsal”. Samgyupsalamat just started opening for franchise last June and now, 4 of the branches are being operated by franchise owners. The meat quality and the sauce’s taste will always be there because Samgyupsalamat has it’s own factory (commissary) to supply each and every branches the same high-grade meats.

Job Description

Responsible in overseeing business operations, delegating tasks to team members and resolving problems that occur on their shift. Their duties include stocking inventory, balancing the cash register and coordinating employee responsibilities to improve efficiency or customer service.

Other function of a Restaurant Manager includes the following:

1. Establishes restaurant business plan by surveying restaurant demands; conferring with people in the community; identifying and evaluating competitors; preparing financial, marketing and sales projections analyses and estimates.

2. Meets restaurant financial objectives by developing financing; establishing banking relationships; preparing strategic and annual forecasts and budgets; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions; establishing and monitoring financial controls; developing and implementing strategies to increase average meal checks.

3. Attracts patrons by developing and implementing marketing, advertising, public and community relationship programs; evaluating program results; identifying and tracking changing demands.

4. Controls purchases and inventory by meeting with Account Manager; negotiating prices and contracts; developing preferred supplier lists; reviewing and evaluating usage reports; analyzing variances; taking corrective actions.

5. Maintaining operations by preparing policies and standard operating procedures; implementing production, productivity, quality, and patron-service standards; determining and implementing system improvements.
